BNA BEST BUILDING OF THE YEAR – We are happy to announce that Beaufort in Zeist has been nominated by BNA for Best Building of the Year 2025! Out of almost 80 entries, Beaufort is one of 7 nominees.

The BNA Best Building of the Year award recognizes excellence in the broadest sense: beyond architectural quality, it also considers user experience, societal impact, and the quality of collaboration. The jury, headed by Ingrid van Engelshoven, evaluated all these aspects, and winning designs become part of the collective memory of Dutch architecture. We congratulate the other nominees! The winner will be announced on June 5th.

Beaufort is located on the edge of a forested area in the Kerckebosch neighborhood in Zeist. The sculptural tower features 19 spacious apartments with panoramic views of the surrounding woodland. Its design and materials are inspired by the themes of sand, tree trunk, and leaf, allowing the tower to blend naturally into the wooded setting while also serving as a landmark that marks the entrance to Kerckebosch.
