We are happy to share, just before the end of the year, that Orange Architects has won the architect selection for Campus Almere; a new student campus in the heart of Almere Centrum.

Commissioned by DUWO and Goedestede, the project is situated on an undeveloped plot within OMA’s masterplan and will facilitate more than 1,250 student homes, with commercial, collective, and educational facilities integrated into the plinths. The campus will consist of apartments for both shared and self-contained living. The urban plan foresees low-rise buildings in a green setting on top of a new public parking garage—the Campushof—as well as a 70-metre-high tower next to Windesheim University of Applied Sciences, overlooking the Weerwater.

Design work will start in January 2026, with the aim of turning Campus Almere into a distinctive place to study, live, work, and connect in the heart of Almere City.
